What problem does OHOS solve?
• Medicinal plants may appear in more than one pharmacopoeia with different testing or quality parameters.
• OHOS creates common monographs and quality benchmarks to reduce conflicting standards and duplication.
• Its goal is a single, scientifically reliable standard for medicinal herbs.
Who implements it?
• Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy (PCIM&H) under the Ministry of Ayush.
• Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

• Harmonises testing methods and quality parameters across the Indian Pharmacopoeia and ASU&H Pharmacopoeias.
