India and France have adopted a comprehensive
roadmap to deepen bilateral cooperation in
Artificial Intelligence, innovation, education,
and strategic technologies, supporting India’s
Viksit Bharat 2047 vision and France’s France 2030 agenda.
About the Roadmap
The roadmap aims to strengthen long-term India–France collaboration in
emerging technologies, research, innovation, and human capital development.
It seeks to promote responsible technological advancement while fostering
economic growth and strategic partnership.
Key Pillars of the Roadmap
1. Trusted AI Partnership
Building upon the India–France Declaration on Artificial Intelligence (2025), the
partnership focuses on:
Development of safe, secure, and trustworthy AI systems.
Cooperation on online child safety and digital protection.
Promotion of privacy-preserving and consent-based data-sharing frameworks.
Strengthening ethical, transparent, and responsible AI governance.
2. Academic and People-to-People Cooperation
Implemented through the Horizon 2047 Framework, with emphasis on
educational exchanges and talent mobility.

Chonala Albistricta (Narrow-banded Wall Butterfly)
News:
Scientists have discovered a new butterfly species, Chonala albistricta, in the state of
Arunachal Pradesh.
About Chonala Albistricta
Chonala albistricta, commonly known as the Narrow-banded Wall, is a newly
identified butterfly species.
It was discovered in the Mayodia Pass area of the Lower Dibang Valley district
of Arunachal Pradesh.
The species belongs to the genus Chonala, a small group of mountain
butterflies found in the Himalayas and neighbouring Asian regions.
Significance of the Discovery
1. Taxonomic Importance
It represents the 10th known species of the genus Chonala worldwide.
It is only the second species of the genus recorded from India.
2. Biodiversity Significance
Highlights the rich and largely unexplored biodiversity of the Eastern Himalayas.
Reinforces the ecological importance of Arunachal Pradesh as a biodiversity
hotspot.

Distinctive Markings
Named after the characteristic narrow and irregularly curved white band on its
forewing.

News:
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), in collaboration with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), recently deliberated on the DigiDukaan initiative during a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) Roundtable.
About DigiDukaan
DigiDukaan is an ONDC-led initiative focused on digitising kirana stores and
strengthening Business-to-Business (B2B) procurement.
It aims to improve efficiency, transparency, and connectivity across the retail
supply chain.
The platform enables small retailers to actively participate in India’s growing
digital commerce ecosystem.
Objectives
1. Digital Procurement
Facilitate digital procurement and inventory management for kirana stores.
Reduce dependence on traditional and fragmented ordering systems.
2. Supply Chain Efficiency
Improve product availability and streamline procurement processes.
Enhance operational efficiency across the retail value chain.
3. Better Market Access
Increase access to products, government schemes, promotional offers, and
market information.
Enable informed business decisions for small retailers.
